I have been a Professional Makeup Artist since 1997 and have

mastered the art of airbrushing over the past 5 years. I have also taught

many men & women the art of airbrushing as a profession.

Airbrush tanning gives you all of the benefits of a suntan with out

the harmful UVA/UVB rays from the sun.  Your entire tanning

experience, from set up to break down time, only takes 20 – 30

minutes.

Airbrush tanning is great in reducing the appearance of

blemishes, scars, cellulite and stretch marks! It will make you look

‘at least’ 10 pounds slimmer in a matter of minutes!

When being airbrushed by hand, you are ensured to not have

those leopard spots all over your hand & feet that you get when

going to a spray tan booth! Your tan is customized for your

personal taste.  It is not one tan fits all!

Some commonly asked questions:

Q.  How does Airbrush Tanning work?

A. The active ingredient in sunless tanning products is Dihyroxyacetone (DHA).  DHA is a colorless sugar that causes the proteins and amino acids in the outer layer of your skin to react with the oxygen in the air to produce a brownish color.  You are not applying a dye to your skin.  You are causing your skin to develop a natural bronze color on its own through a chemical reaction. 

In addition to containing DHA, sunless tanning products contain an immediate bronzer.  While DHA develops a bronze color over time, the bronzer causes an immediate color on your skin.  The immediate bronzer is used to facilitate application, making it easier for the tanning professional to see where he/she has spray tanned and where they have not.  The immediate bronzer lasts until you take a shower.  The color that remains is from the DHA. 

Q.  How long does airbrush tanning last?

A.  Your tan can last anywhere from 5 – 7 days, sometimes longer! Your tan will fade in the same amount of time as it would from the sun.  This can also depend on your skin type (dry –oily).  Dryer skin types tend to fade faster than oily, that is why it is important to keep your skin hydrated.  This will help prolong your tan and help ensure a more even fade.

Q.  Will I turn “orange” after being spray tanned? 

A.  Not when used properly!  When using a sunless tanning agent, it is crucial you do not try to go too dark or use a DHA that is too strong for your personal pigment.  That is why some people turn orange.  You should not try to be a color you may not be able to achieve naturally.  Leaving the tanning solutions on too long can also result in an orange hue.  Your tanning professional will be able to tell you how long before rinsing once they have assessed your pigment.    

Q.  Is airbrush tanning safe?

A.  The active ingredients in the sunless tanning products I use are all Organic and have been proved safe by the FDA.  They also contain anti aging agents so your skin feels hydrated immediately on contact.
